Meals in Private, Amish Homes
Enjoy a Home cooked meal in one of our 13 Amish Homes
New for 2012...
With each meal reservation, each couple or individual person receives a small cookbook with the recipes used by cooks for the group meals. (Includes the haystack, peanut butter spread, pies, homemade bread, homemade cinnamon rolls, soups, salads and many more!)
You can enjoy an authentic, home-cooked meal in several ways. As a rule of thumb, our cooks ask for a minimum of 8 total reservations.
1. Several of our seasonal, daily tour packages include a meal in an Amish home. (See Daily Tours)
2. You do not have to take a tour to have the meal. Just call and ask for a "meal only" and we will put you with an already existing group to meet the minimum. (Directions to the meal will be emailed to you or you may pick it up at our Berlin office)
The menu includes tossed salad, homemade bread, peanut butter spread, baked chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, noodles, green beans, decaf coffee, iced tea, lemonade and pie. The tip is included.
Price per person, ages 12 and over ~ $25.00. Includes tax, tip and cookbook.
Please call for childrens prices for ages 11 and under.
Private Meals in the home. This is a unique opportunity to join the family around their kitchen table with your own private group of 7 or less. Afterward relax in the living room for a time of visiting. Share your life with them as they share their life with you. The menu includes homemade bread, salad, chicken, potato, noodles, vegetable, hot and cold beverage and dessert.
Cost is a flat rate of $141.50 which includes tax and tip.
